There are two main strands to the hydrological drought research being carried in the MaRIUS project.
- Detailed physically-based modelling of drought processes at the catchment scale using the Penn State Integrated Hydrologic Model (PIHM).
- Improving scientific understanding of, and modelling capability for, representing drought processes at the national scale using two hydrological models:
